Moo Satay with Peanut Sauce
This is one of the best starters you will find in restaurants from all parts of the world, and it is served with peanut sauce. I could snack on it all day, haha! Let me show you the easiest way to make it! Ready? 😀
Ingredients (Satay)
Sliced Pork or chicken 500 g.
Cumin powder 2 tsp.
Turmeric powder 1 tsp.
Curry Powder 1 tsp.
Coriander Seeds 1 tbsp.
Galangal 1 tsp.
Lemongrass 1 stalk.
Coconut Milk 80 ml.
Sugar 1 tbsp.
Salt 1 tbsp.
White Pepper Powder 1 tsp.
Ingredients (Peanut Sauce)
Coconut Milk 250 ml.
Crushed Peanut 200 g.
Massaman Curry Paste 1 tbsp.
Red Curry Paste 1 tbsp.
Palm Sugar 80-100 g.
Tamarind Paste 4 tbsp.
Salt 1 tsp.
Instruction (Satay)
Put coriander seeds, galangal, lemongrass into the mortar then pound it well to create the paste. Put all the sliced pork or chicken into a bowl, then add paste, coconut milk, cumin powder, turmeric powder, curry powder, sugar, salt and white pepper powder. Marinate for at least 2 hours in the fridge (overnight is the best).
Skewer the pork or chicken pieces onto skewers, then cook them over the charcoal grill until the pork or chicken is cooked through.
Serve with peanut sauce.
Instruction (Peanut Sauce)
Preheat the pan with medium heat, then add coconut milk, massaman curry paste, red curry paste then stir well.
Add palm sugar, salt, tamarind paste and taste it.
Add crushed peanuts, mix it up then serve!
