Kai Luk Koei Recipe From My Grandma

When I was little my grandma used to cook Kai Luk Koei for me. If you love tamarind sauce, you will love this dish so much. Don’t forget this is my grandma’s secret recipe! XD

Ingredients
Boiled egg – peeled 5 eggs
Palm sugar 6-8 tbsps.
Fish sauce 2-3 tbsps.
Tamarind sauce 2 tbsps.
Water 2 tbsps.
Deep fried shallot (garnish)
Coriander (garnish)
Fried chili (garnish)

Instructions
Heat up the wok, add a little bit of oil, fry boiled egg until it turns golden brown.
Make the sauce in another wok, pre-heat then add palm sugar, fish sauce, tamarind paste and water until it well combined.
Add a bit of deep fried shallots for better aroma.
Serve by cut the egg into a half, pour the sauce on top, deep fried shallots and coriander as garnish.
